<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image compressing device and an image processing system which can be made low in power consumption and small in size without performing a synchronization processing for a color imaging signal. <P>SOLUTION: This image compressing device comprises: a solid-state imaging device 1-2 in which a color filter 1-1 having predetermined color array is stuck to a light receiving face;, a pre-processing means 1-3 for extracting a signal with a pixel signal of 2×2 array as one unit from a color imaging signal outputted from the solid-state imaging device and generating a luminance signal and a color difference signal; a frequency converting means 2-1 for calculating space frequency components by the block units of each of components from the luminance and color difference signals outputted from the pre-processing means 1-3; a quantizing means 2-2 for quantizing the space frequency components; and an encoding means 2-3 for encoding the quantized space frequency components. The compression processing is performed by generating the luminance signal and the color difference signal without performing the synchronization processing from the color imaging signal obtained from the solid-state imaging device, thereby reducjng processing man-hours of a compression part by reducing the number of data and making the image compressing device low in power consumption and small in size without without needing a synchronization means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
