VISUAL INSPECTION METHOD FOR WELDING MARK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual inspection method for a welding mark capable of precisely and visually examining the welding mark for a short time without aligning the position of the welding mark in the visual field of an imaging means.

SOLUTION: In the method for the visual inspection of a plurality of the checkered welding marks on the surface of a metal plate, a region formed by connecting the respective centers of a plurality of the welding marks is set as a unit block and the unit block is continuously subjected to unit block dividing processing with respect to all of the welding marks on the surface of the metal plate to be divided into a plurality of blocks. The average value of the pixel brightness values in the respective divided blocks and an integrated value of them are calculated, and the average value and the integrated value are set to a series in an arbitrary order and the change shape of this series is set to the feature quantity for judging the quality of a welded state.
