<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picking assist device enhancing exactness of sorting work of an article. <P>SOLUTION: The picking assist device is provided with a track (6); a tray (7) movably placed on the track (6); and a treatment device (41). The tray (7) is provided with a weight measuring device (25) loaded with a shipper (8) for storing the article (1) to be sorted. The weight measuring device (25) produces a weight measurement result signal in response to the weight of the article (1).
