PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for making different kinds of cases automatically and efficiently. SOLUTION: In this system, a robot 3 takes out case making materials 1 one by one from a plurality of material disposition sites A, B and C established at different places respectively regarding different case making materials 1a, 1b and 1c, in the way to hold the material 1 using the side of the robot and sets the material 1 in a state where it is spread open. When the bottom board part of the opened case making material 1 is folded by a folding mechanism 4, the material 1 is retained by the side board part using a side retaining mechanism 2. After the material 1 is retained by the side retaining mechanism 2, the robot 3 releases the material 1 from a retaining position before the complete folding of the bottom board part by the folding mechanism 4 and then shifts to an action to retain a following case making material 1. The side retaining mechanism 2 is structured of a pair of transfer belt 21 for transferring the folded case making material 1 to a sealer 5 and a belt displacing mechanism 22 for performing the retention and release of the material 1 by displacing the belt 21.
