PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container inspection device for dispensing with a support plate referred to as a top plate conventionally supporting a star wheel device and various supports by applying a structure to suspend the star wheel device. SOLUTION: In the container inspection device provided with the star wheel device 3 having a plurality of pockets 4a, 5a for holding a container 1, while carrying the container 1 to be inspected on a specific circular track by the star wheel device 3, an image of the container 1 is picked up by image pick-up devices 32, 33. A plurality of columns 25 extended in a perpendicular direction are separately provided one another, a plurality of beam members 26 are provided to connect between adjacent columns, and the star wheel device 3 is suspended to be supported by the supporting plate 27 for suspension fixed on the beam members 26.
