PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To individually control the respective rotational speeds of a chipper part and a blower part to more preferable speeds in a grinder for tree or the like having the chipper part for cutting and grinding a material to be ground such as the tree or the like with a rotary chipper knife. SOLUTION: In the grinder for tree or the like equipped with a charging hopper part A for receiving the charged material W to be ground to feed the same in the grinder, the chipper part B for cutting and grinding the fed-in material W to be ground by the rotary chipper knife 2, the blower part D for discharging the material to be ground to the outside of the grinder and a drive part for rotationally driving the chipper part B and the blower part D, the rotary shaft 10 of the chipper part B and the rotary shaft 20 of the blower part D are separately provided to be separately rotated by the drive part not shown in the drawing.
