PURPOSE:A method for attaching an imager for adjusting convergence in a projection television is provided to reduce time and range required for adjusting convergence by attaching an imager at a plate. CONSTITUTION:A plate for fixing an imager(3) is fixed on a lower frame(15) and an image is fixedly mounted on an upper frame(10). Voltage is applied to the fixed imager for displaying a specific pattern. A CCD camera(20) inputs an image of the imager for displaying recognized pattern to a monitor(30). The upper frames are axially moved in X and Y directions with confirming the displayed pattern for correcting horizontal and vertical distortion. Points of four corners are accorded with each other and the upper frame is axially moved in up and down directions for attaching the imager to the plate.
