PURPOSE: A flat panel display, a power supply system for the same without an external adaptor or an embedded power supply, and a method thereof are provided to directly supply the DC power of a computer to the flat panel display by connecting the flat panel display and the computer using a connection cable. CONSTITUTION: The system is equipped with the flat panel display(4) having a DC power input port(41), the computer(6) having a DC power output port(61), and the connection cable(5) connecting the DC power input port with the DC power output port. The flat panel display is equipped with a display module(42), and the DC power input port connected to the display module and the connection cable. As another end of the connection cable is connected to the DC power output port of the computer, the DC operative voltage of the flat display panel is obtained from the computer.
