CATHODE RAY TUBE WITH IMPROVED DROP STRENGTH BY FORMING BENT PORTION AT SKIRT OF SHADOW MASK

PURPOSE: A cathode ray tube is provided to prevent a deformation of a shadow mask and achieve improved drop strength, by forming at least one bent portion at a skirt of a shadow mask. CONSTITUTION: A cathode ray tube comprises a panel having an inner surface on which a phosphor screen is formed; a funnel coupled to the panel; an electron gun mounted in the funnel; a defection yoke for deflecting electron beams emitted from the electron gun; a shadow mask(5) for selecting colors of electron beams; and a mask frame(11) where the shadow mask is coupled. The shadow mask has a skirt(51) to be coupled to an inner surface of the mask frame. At least one bent portion(52) is formed between the start and end of the skirt, such that a straight line portion(54) is coupled to the mask frame and a tilt portion(53) is separated from the mask frame at a predetermined angle.
