<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support device which easily and correctly determine an adequate parking position when parking a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In the parking support device, an image to display the road surface condition below a vehicle is constituted by arranging images B-E in the past together obtained by a camera to pick up an image of a rear portion of the vehicle, the differential level of the road surface is detected by a distance measurement sensor comprising an ultrasonic sensor or the like, and the wheel stopper position is detected thereby. In the parking support device, the distance from the position 33 of a tire of the vehicle to a rear end of the vehicle which is stored as vehicle information in advance is compared with the distance between the actually detected wheel stopper and a rear end of a parking frame 31.
