<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device having increased energy efficiency in operating a power source and an electric driving source in cooperation in a simple constitution using no dedicated power generator. <P>SOLUTION: An output shaft of an engine 1 is connected to a sun gear 10 of a planetary gearing mechanism 4, an electric motor 2 is connected to a carrier 12 pivoting a planet pinion gear 11 that mates with the sun gear 10, rotates, and revolves on the outer periphery of the sun gear 10 via gears 33 and 33, and an input shaft 34 of a stepped transmission 3 is connected to a ring gear 13 rotating mating with the planet pinion gear 11. This driving device comprises an engine clutch 5 for directly connecting the output shaft 30 of the engine 1 to the ring gear 13, a ring gear brake 6 for regulating rotation of the ring gear 13, and a torque converter clutch 41 and a torque converter 42 for transmitting a driving force of the electric motor 2 to the output shaft 35 of the stepped transmission 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
