<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable image transfer with an image supply apparatus by use of a handler when a print request list described in file names of images are provided in the image supply apparatus side. <P>SOLUTION: When the print request file of DPOF describing images to be printed in file names of the images is in a memory card in a digital still camera (DSC) 3012 in the side for supplying images, a printer 1000 requests the print request file. Then, image data file names in the print request file received as a result of the request are extracted, and a file for requesting the handler of each of the image data is created and transmitted to the DSC 3012. As a result, a file describing the corresponding relation between each of the file names and the handlers is transferred from the DSC 3012 and received by the printer. Thereafter, the file name of each of the image data in the print request file is requested by use of the handle, and print is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
