<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice/FAX communication system for reproducing signals as continuous signals having no error, even if a delay or delay fluctuation occurs in a network. <P>SOLUTION: A transmitter side encodes a voice/FAX signal and identifies whether or not the encoded data are soundless, and sets a soundless flag to the coded data when the coded data are soundless and transmits the data in a packet. A receiver side is provided with a fluctuation absorption buffer for absorbing delay fluctuation of the received packet, and dynamically changes the fluctuation absorption buffer amount in response to the delay fluctuation in a section of the encoded data for which the soundless flag is set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
