<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous paint composition which exerts good processability and inhibits occurrence of cracks etc., in extremely severe processing which accompanies neck formation or screw thread cutting and a good characteristic such as retort resistance, corrosion resistance and flavor-retaining property when used as a paint for inner surface of a deep-drawn can body. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous paint composition contains a self-emulsifying bisphenol epoxy resin (C) and a phenolic resin (E) in a specific proportion. Here, the self-emulsifying bisphenol epoxy resin is obtained by graft polymerizing a radically polymerizable monomer (B1) essentially comprising an acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid to an epoxy resin (A) using a free-radical generator. Here, the epoxy resin (A)contains an epoxy resin (A1) having a weight average molecular weight of 8,000-20,000 and an epoxy equivalent of 6,000-10,000 and an epoxy resin (A2) having a weight average molecular weight of 25,000-80,000 and an epoxy equivalent of 6,000-10,000 in a weight ratio of (100/0)-(30/70). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
