LAMP HOLDER, BACKLIGHT DEVICE, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a fluorescent tube due to its deflection and unevenness of brightness of a light source even if the fluorescent tube is elongated and made thinner accompanying enlargement of a liquid crystal display.

SOLUTION: On the liquid crystal display, neighboring parts of both end parts of the fluorescent tube 1 are held by fluorescent tube holding parts 4, and middle parts of the fluorescent tube 1 are held by lamp holders 2 made of a transparent material. As the lamp holder is made of the transparent material, lowering of the brightness of the light source is limited to the minimum even if the middle parts of the fluorescent tube 1 are held by the lamp holders in a liquid crystal display with a large size.
