At each terminal end part of the drum length a reversing part of a yarn traversing groove is followed by an intermediate groove, but between them is an unrecessed region of the drum of very short length. The start and end points of the intermediate groove are on the drum periphery, and the groove bottom is below a straight line joining those points.
