PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera with excellent user-friendliness in the case of utilizing the electronic camera as a mirror. SOLUTION: A photographer sets the electronic camera to a fixed mirror mode and photographs himself, and when the photographer selects a region of a photographed image to display the region with magnification, the image of the selected region is reversed like a mirror and displayed on a liquid crystal display apparatus 18 with magnification. A camera-shake correction processing and a magnification correction processing are applied to the magnified discrimination image so that a prescribed position of the image is always displayed in a prescribed size.
