PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate handling and improve versatility. SOLUTION: A stabilizer 10 for a shaft digging bucket includes a combined body of an arm-like support member 28 and a mounting base 30. The support member 28 having a contact plate 26 at its front end in an integrated manner is capable of coming into contact with a peripheral face of an enlarged diameter hole. The mounting base 30 supports the support member 28 to be movable back and forth. The stabilizer 10 is formed to be a single body for use in a direction of a radius, by which a centering position of the bucket with respect to the enlarged diameter hole is adjustable along the radius. The stabilizer 10 is fixed to an upper end opening edge 14a of the shaft digging bucket 14 under a state of fixed support by a fixed part mounted on the mounting base 30, and the position of the support member 28 with respect to the mounting base 30 is adjustable in the back and forth direction and is set arbitrarily under a state of fixed holding with respect to the mounting base 30 by a holding means 41.
