PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exchange with an Internet telephone address converting function capable of easily connecting to an Internet telephone by using DTMF (dial tone multi frequency) tone called from a telephone set connected to a public exchange network and inputting an Internet telephone address. SOLUTION: When a telephone call is made to this exchange 3 with an Internet telephone address converting function from the telephone set 1 via the public exchange network 2, a line connecting part 4 receives an incoming call. Next, a user designates the Internet telephone address of the opposite party with the DTMF tone. A signal of the DTMF tone is inputted to a DTMF receiving part 5 via the line connecting part 4, and an Internet telephone address converting part 6 converts the signal into an Internet telephone address including characters.
