PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waist holding device, applied to a reach forklift having a standing seat type operating cab especially for holding the waist of an operator, not requiring the displacement of the waist holding body, simple in structure and lowering the cost. SOLUTION: This waist holding device is composed of: a waist holding body 2 fitted to the inside of a side frame 56 constituting the operating cab 53 and having a curved surface 4 corresponding to the waist B of the operator A; and a projecting body 3 projected on the lower half part of the rear of the body 2 to support the hips and buttocks C when the operator A takes a half-body operating posture and preventing interference with the hipbone D when the operator A takes a correct position operating posture.
