PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feed device and an image formation device provided with this realizing stable separation performance against thickness and intensity of stiffness (hardness) of the used sheet (paper). SOLUTION: In the separation means, a separation plate turned by being pressed by the sheet and forming a separation oblique surface; an urging means for urging the separation plate to a direction opposite to a sheet feed-out direction and retaining the separation plate so as to be abutted on the sheet at constant inclined attitude; a friction member for handling the sheet while deflected by being pressed by the sheet riding over the separation plate; and a friction member 2 for handling the sheet riding over the friction member on a downstream side are provided.
