PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing apparatus for penetrative photographing with which a burden to a subject can be prevented to be excessive without decreasing maneuverability. SOLUTION: A transmission mechanism 12 transmits the movement of a motor 11 which generates the output corresponding to the pressing power to a pressing member 10 which presses the subject H. An input device 13 inputs an established value of the output of the motor 11 into a controlling device 14. The controlling device 14 has a pressing mode and a sustaining mode as controlling modes of the motor 11. The motor 11 in the pressing mode is controlled to move the pressing member 10 in a direction of pressing. The motor 11 in the sustaining mode is controlled to have the detected output as the sustaining value which changes corresponding to the change in the established value.
