PURPOSE: An optical pick-up apparatus having a ground terminal for preventing static electricity of a laser diode and a connector for the optical pick-up apparatus are provided to allow a soldering process and a solder elimination process to be omitted by switching a ground state and an operation state of the laser diode to other states according to connection and disconnection of an FPCB(Flexible Circuit Board). CONSTITUTION: An FPCB cable(15) supplies electric drive power to each part. A housing(20') has an FPCB connection part(17') into which the FPCB cable is inserted. A plurality of connector coupling terminals(18) are electrically connected to devices including a laser diode of an optical pick-up apparatus. A connector ground part(21) is prepared at a position in the FPCB connection part, wherein the position is contacted to the connector coupling terminals in the case of disconnection of the FPCB cable. The connector ground part electrically connects the connector coupling terminals to each other.
