PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for enhancing channel estimation in an LCR(Low Chip Rate) TDD(Time Division Duplexing) CDMA communication system are provided to solve a problem that data cannot be accurately restored if reliability of a channel estimation value measured from a current time slot is low. CONSTITUTION: Reliability of a channel estimation value of a currently received time slot is measured and compared with the first pre-set value. If the measured reliability of the channel estimation value of the currently received time slot is low, previously measured reliability of a time slot before the currently received time slot is compared with the second pre-set value. If the reliability of the channel estimation value measured from the previously received time slot is higher than the second pre-set value, the channel estimation value measured from the previously received time slot is used to restore data included in the currently received time slot.
