<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner enabling a reduction in noise and an increase in air quantity by straightening suction air stream by utilizing a lattice for preventing the contact with a fan. <P>SOLUTION: This air cleaner is constituted so that the lattice 9 for preventing the contact with the fan disposed in a space part 8 formed to have a distance of generally 20 to 30 mm is installed on the upstream side of an air blow means 7 installed in a body 1, and a dust collecting unit 10 is installed on the upstream side of the lattice 9 and the suction air stream can be straightened by the lattice 9 and the space part 8.
