<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid drive device capable of suppressing the lowering of the acceleration responsiveness of a vehicle when the power of a second drive force source is used in accelerating the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This controller of a hybrid vehicle comprises a first drive power source and a second drive power source coupled to wheels so that a power can be transmitted thereto, a power distribution device distributing the power of the first drive force source to the wheels and a rotating device, and a transmission disposed in a route from the second drive force source to the wheels. The controller also comprises preparation control execution means (steps S4, S6, S7, S8, S9, S14, S18, S20) executing a preparation control for changing the state of the transmission in a power transmittable state based on at least one state of the state of a road on which the vehicle travels and the operating state of the vehicle even if transmission control conditions to bring the state of the transmission into the power transmittable state are not established. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
