PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply open a passage between adjacent registers in a supermarket in accordance with the number of customers. SOLUTION: In the supermarket having many register counters 1 arranged on a lateral line across passages, movable side-placing type commodity display racks 5 are arranged on the sides of respective register counters 1 on the sides of customer's entry into respective passages, and the commodity display racks are moved in the passage direction in accordance with the number of customers to open/close the sides of customer's entry into the passages.
