PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a tube, capable of improving productivity by simplifying its production processes, effectively preventing a working environment from deterioration by using a non-solvent varnish, and suitably used for electric insulation, heat resistant protection, mechanical protection, bundling, etc., of e.g. home electric utensils, industrial machines, measuring instruments, medical instruments and automobiles. SOLUTION: This method for producing the tube 8 is provided by braiding a fiber yarn 4 on an elastic tube 1 supplied continuously by using a braid-forming machine 3, applying a silicone-based varnish without containing a solvent and having 1,000-50,000 cp viscosity on the elastic tube continuously treated with the braided cover, then introducing into a heating oven 7 continuously to heat/cure the silicone-based varnish and bonding the elastic tube with the braid as one unit.
