PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antiseptic bactericide obtained by compounded a 5-10C 1,2-alkanediol and a specific perfume component wherein, the original antibacterial activity of the 5-10C 1,2-alkanediol against wide bacterial strains is increased, and to provide cosmetics, medicines and food products each compounded with the antiseptic bactericide. SOLUTION: The antiseptic bactericide comprises the 5-10C 1,2-alkanediol and thymol and/or eugenol, and cosmetics, medicines and food products containing the antiseptic bactericide are provided.
