PASSING METHOD FOR STEEL STRIP IN PASS LINE CHANGEABLE PROCESSING LINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and stably manufacture a large number of steel strip products in the same manufacture line by constituting a plurality of pass lines by providing by-pass lines and avoiding generation of steel strip breaking and surface flaw by appropriately carrying out tension control at change of the pass line and generation of trouble at passing of the strip in a steel strip processing line successively arranged with a plurality of processing facilities. SOLUTION: Unit tension is set in every pass line and every kind of the steel strip passed and the strip is passed while controlling the tension of the steel strip to the set value. When the pass line or the kind of the steel strip passed is changed, the tension is controlled to the set value over the whole area of the pass line in such a state that the steel strip after change is passed and the by-pass line is provided underside. The by-pass line is provided on a pre-treatment facility of an electric plating facility having pre- and post-treatment facility and the electric plating facility or on the electric plating facility alone.
