PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight without reducing the strength of a link or a chain. SOLUTION: The chain link 1 for a bicycle is made of a slender flat body 2 and a first through-hole 5 and a second through-hole 6 inserting a pin for connecting with another chain link 1 are formed on both end parts 3, 4 of the flat body respectively.
