PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe chamfering apparatus which smoothly discharges cutting chips produced by chamfering the open end part of a pipe, to the outside of the pipe. SOLUTION: This pipe chamfering apparatus A for chamfering the open end part of the pipe P comprises: a spindle member 1 insert-fitted in a circumferentially rotatable manner into the open end part of the pipe P; a chamfering tool 2 detachably mounted to one end outer peripheral part of the spindle member 1 in the state of projecting a chamfering edge part 2A at the tip outward from the outer peripheral surface of the spindle member 1; and a rotational operating handle member 3 mounted to one end face of the spindle member 1. The rotational operating handle member 3 is provided with a cutting chip discharge hole 32 passing through over both end faces, and the chamfering edge part 2A is placed to face the open end on the chamfering tool side of the cutting chip discharge hole 32. Further, a rake face 21 of the chamfering edge part 2a is formed into an inclined face inclined in a direction of discharging the cutting chips to the cutting chip discharge hole 32 side.
