<p>Cheese prepn. from a continuous feed of curd comprises (a) transporting a series of cheese moulds past the curd delivery posn. in such a way that during the transport of a first cheese mould to this posn., the foregoing mould can be filled with curd, and (b) successively guiding press units, in synchronism with the arrival of the cheese moulds past a junction with the succession of filled cheese moulds, where each of them, after application of a follower piston, is combined with a press unit, by means of which it is brought under the required pressure. Pref. the row of filled moulds either intersects the row of press units or runs parallel to them at the meeting place.</p> |
