PURPOSE: A deflection yoke is provided to prevent deformation of coil caused due to high temperature heat generated during radiation of electron beam, by improving the structure of a deflection yoke for deflecting electron beams emitted from an electron gun. CONSTITUTION: A cathode ray tube comprises a panel for reproduction of image; a funnel arranged in rear of the panel; an electron gun for emitting electron beams; and a deflection yoke for deflecting electron beams emitted from the electron gun. The deflection yoke includes a holder(41) mounted on a neck portion of the funnel, and horizontal and vertical deflection coils and a ferrite core mounted on the holder. A heat release unit(50) is arranged on at least one of inner and outer surfaces of the holder so as to release resistance heat generated from the horizontal or vertical deflection coil to outside. The heat release unit is arranged in at least one of vertical and inclined directions with respect to the tube axial direction of the holder.
