PURPOSE: A portable mirror assembly with a data display device is provided to enable a user to exploit the data display device for a variety of useful functions, including current time display, storage and arrangement of personal data, scheduling, and so on while maintaining beneficial attributes of ease and convenience as commonly used as an ordinary mirror, usually for women. CONSTITUTION: The portable mirror assembly comprises: a lid having a mirror attached to its internal face and rotated automatically; a base hingedly coupled to the lid, for containing a quantity of cosmetic material; and a data display device. The data display device comprises: a key input(10); a microcomputer(20) performing various functions corresponding to key input signals input by the key input(10) and incorporating a program and data for controlling the overall assembly; an LCD(30) for displaying texts and/or graphics using a control signal output from the microcomputer(20); an LCD illuminator(40) providing a backlight to the LCD(30); an automatic power controller(50) controlling power ON/OFF in response to a signal output from the microcomputer(20); a clock generator(60) for generating clocks necessary for operating the microcomputer(20); a data setting storage unit(70) for storing data set by a user; a power supply(80); and a battery(90).
