<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advantageous apparatus and method in which the use efficiency of computer power is extremely high and it is enough to dispose probe hardware for monitoring a signaling message in a single network segment (Gn interface). <P>SOLUTION: A method of creating service usage records summarizing usage of mobile data communication services, comprises monitoring message packets traversing a signaling link between a serving support node and a gateway support node, these message packets including packets for tunneling data being transported by a mobile data communication service. First information is extracted from the data tunneling packets, relating to data being tunneled by the packets, and second information is extracted, relating to implementation of the data tunneling.
