<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method for an optical recording medium by which a wider recording condition margin is obtained at a scanning speed ≥20 m/s and a basic clock period ≤10 ns and which is highly reliable as an error is substantially prevented even in case of the deterioration of the medium and an optical information recording medium suitable for the recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The recording method for the phase transition type optical information recording medium comprises irradiating and scanning the phase transition type optical information recording medium with the light subjected to intensity modulation to a pulse form to record marks of at least two kinds varying in time lengths n1Tw and n2Tw (Tw is the basic clock period in recording; n<SB>1</SB>and n<SB>2</SB>are natural numbers satisfying n<SB>1</SB><n<SB>2</SB>) at m pieces (m is a natural number of ≥2) of the number of the irradiation pulses, in which P(n<SB>1</SB>, m)>P(n<SB>2</SB>, m) is set when the irradiation power of the k-th (≤1k≤m) at the time of recording the mark of the length n<SB>1</SB>TW is defined as P(n<SB>1</SB>, k) and the k-th pulse irradiation power at the time of of recording the mark of the length n<SB>2</SB>TW as P(n<SB>2</SB>, k). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
