METHOD OF PAYMENT FROM ACCOUNT BY CUSTOMER HAVING MOBILE USER TERMINAL, AND CUSTOMER AUTHENTICATION NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of payment from an account by a customer having a mobile user terminal.

SOLUTION: The method comprises following steps. A phone number of the customer's mobile user terminal is provided to an authentication network. Using the phone number, the authentication network checks a database for associating phone numbers with account indicators and relative customer ID indicators, and obtains an account indicator and a relative customer ID indicator associated with the customer's mobile user terminal. Call connection is set up between the authentication network and the mobile user terminal. A customer ID indicator is sent from the mobile user terminal to the authentication network. The authentication network checks if the customer ID indicator received from the mobile user terminal is identical with the indicator anticipated from database check; and if there is matching, the authentication network indicates that the customer is authentic so that payment can proceed.
