PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversing device, dispensing with a special driving source for reversing the top and bottom surfaces of a box-shaped body, reducing the installation volume, and selecting between reversal and non-reversal as needed. SOLUTION: This pendulum type reversing device includes a first conveyer 1, a second conveyer 2 having a transport surface lower than that of the first conveyer 1, a reversal assisting plate 13 stretched between right under the downstream end part of the first conveyer 1 and the transport surface of the second conveyer and provided with a circular-arc surface projected downward, and an L-shaped pendulum 6 and composed of a receiving part 4 and an arm part 5 disposed on the downstream side of the first conveyer 1. The arm part 5 is rotatably suspended from a rotating shaft 7 right-angled to the transport direction of the first conveyer 11, and the receiving surface 4s of the receiving part 4 a little lower than the transport surface of the first conveyer when the pendulum 6 is in no-load suspending position has a large depth as much as possible in a dimensional range such that when the tip of the box-shaped body B abuts on the arm part 5, the center of gravity g of the box-shaped body B does not arrive on the receiving surface 4s.
