PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive supporting device for a vehicle by which a driver does not feel physical discomfort by providing information corresponding to the cognitive characteristics of the driver. SOLUTION: The supporting device comprises an environment detection means 12 for detecting the state of an environment in which a vehicle travels, a driving behavior detection means 10 for detecting the driving behavior of the driver, a cognitive state determining means 11 for determining the cognitive state of the driver from the detected driving behavior of the driver, an information presenting means 14 for presenting information to the driver, and a report information determining means 13 for determining information to be presented to the driver by means of the presenting means 14 on the basis of the detected state of the environment and the determined cognitive state of the driver.
