PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel (PDP) containing phosphor, of which the brightness characteristics and the duration characteristics are superior, light emission efficiency and color purity are superior, and afterglow characteristics are improved. SOLUTION: A green phosphor layer includes Zn<SB>2</SB>SiO<SB>4</SB>:Mn as a first green phosphor by 10-70 wt.%, (Ba, Sr, Mg) O-aAl<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>:Mn (a=1-23) as a second green phosphor by 0-30 wt.%, and ReBO<SB>3</SB>:Tb (Re is one or more rare earth elements selected from among Sc, Y, La, Ce, and Gd) as a third green phosphor by 20-70 wt.%. A discharge gas contains Xe, with its mixing weight ratio being 6% or higher. By making the green phosphor layer to be of this configuration, it can be applied to a PDP in which the discharge gas containing Xe at high rate is used. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
