PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element with a long service life and an inorganic EL element with a high brightness. SOLUTION: In a light emitting element 10, at least two light emitting units having mutually opposed first electrodes 1, 5 and second electrodes 3, 7 and light emitting body layers 2, 6 held between the first electrodes 1, 5 and the second electrodes 3, 7 are stacked.
