METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING ROLLER MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing apparatus for a roller member capable of obtaining the roller member having a uniform fine cell structure and uniform hardness over the whole thereof, and a manufacturing method using it.

SOLUTION: The manufacturing apparatus for the roller member is constituted so as to inject a liquid raw material in a hollow mold 1 in a state that a shaft 2 is arranged on the center line of the mold 1 to mold the roll member and equipped with the almost cylindrical cap member 6 inserted in the end part on the side opposite to the liquid raw material injection side of the mold 1 and the stopper-like members 3a and 3b respectively mounted in both end parts of the shaft 2 to substantially close both corresponding end opening parts of the mold 1. The inner peripheral surface of the cap member 6 is formed into a terraced shape becoming small in its inner diameter over at least three stages toward the end part direction of the mold 1 and the inner diameter of the inner peripheral surface of the cap member 6 is formed so that the corresponding stopper-like member 3b can be fitted in the maximum diameter inner peripheral surface and can be forced in the other inner peripheral surface and a vertical groove-like vent hole is formed to the maximum diameter inner peripheral surface.
