<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a convenient service manual and make data processing related to the service manual more efficient. <P>SOLUTION: An XML service manual generation controlling part 1000 acquires various items of non-structured data, and generates structured data from the various items of non-structured data. At this time, the structured data is generated on the basis of a document type definition (DTD) provided for each item of the non-structured data. Especially, document information is converted into structured data in an XML format, and figure information is converted into structured data in an SVG format, thereby enabling automation of correlation between elements in a document and elements in a figure, so that an XML service manual in which mutual cooperation between pieces of information is highly performed.
