<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug type connector in which a plurality of FFCs (flexible flat cable) can be connected easily and support of the FFCs is steady. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of FFCs 1, 100 are inserted beforehand into the corresponding insertion holes 38a, 38b of the annular part 37 of a clamping member 23 and the end parts 1a of each FFCs 1, 100 are temporarily held by the corresponding mounting plates 25, 250 of a holder 22. The annular part 37 of the clamping member 23 is engaged with the mounting plates 25, 250 holding temporarily the end parts 1a of the FFCs 1, 100 and the clamping member 23 is coupled to the holder 22 and a plug type connector 2 is assembled, and the end parts 1a of the FFCs 1, 100 are connected.
