TRANSFER MEMBER FOR WET IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a variance in the resistance value of the surface layer of a transfer member for a wet image forming apparatus and also to prevent the solvent of liquid developer from intruding from the surface layer so as to realize excellent durability. SOLUTION: In the transfer member used in the wet image forming apparatus 10 and being a transfer roller 1 for transferring the liquid developer 15 to an image forming medium 17 from a photoreceptor or an intermediate transfer belt 11 being an intermediate transfer medium, at least the surface layer is formed by using rubber composition to which conductivity is imparted by ion conductive rubber. The ion conductive rubber includes epichlorohydrin rubber by≥10 wt.% and the swelling rate of the liquid developer 15 to the solvent is set to≤10%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
