PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for enhancing throughput by using a DLP(Direct Link Protocol) and a multi-channel in a wireless LAN using a DCF(Distributed Coordination Function) is provided to guarantee QoS of DLP stations by determining a DLP mode according to a medium and better an overall transmission efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A channel conversion module(730) converts a channel by recording a new channel number in a DLP request frame. A mode conversion module(720) converts a DLP mode by recording a new mode number in the DLP request frame. An MAC frame generation module(710) generates various MAC frames including the DLP request frame. A MAC frame transmission/reception module(740) transmits various frames, which have been generated by the MAC frame generation module(710), and receives a frame from a different station or from an AP(Access Point).
