STERILIZING DEODORIZATION ACTIVE CARBON HAVING STERILIZING AND DEODORIZING FUNCTIONS BY ADDING STERILIZING AND DEODORIZING ELEMENTS TO ACTIVE CARBON, FABRICATION METHOD THEREOF AND STERILIZING DEODORIZATION FILTER USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To provide a sterilizing deodorization active carbon capable of substantially preventing inhabitation of virus, mold and fungi and generation of odor by adding sterilizing and deodorizing functions to a basic active carbon function, a fabrication method thereof, and a sterilizing deodorization filter using the sterilizing deodorization active carbon. CONSTITUTION: The sterilizing deodorization active carbon is characterized in that sterilizing and deodorizing functions to a basic function of active carbon by impregnating one or more sterilizing and deodorizing elements on the surface of active carbon which has high adsorptivity and is mostly consisted of carbonaceous components. The fabrication method of sterilizing deodorization active carbon comprises a step of dissolving sterilizing and deodorizing elements into any one solution of diluted hydrochloric acid, diluted nitric acid or hot diluted sulfuric acid so that the sterilizing and deodorizing elements are converted into the liquid state; a pretreatment step of simultaneously removing impurities by adding active carbon to an acid solution and neutralizing pH of the mixture by adding water to activated active carbon after activating the active carbon, and increasing specific surface area of the active carbon by drying the pH neutralized mixture after neutralizing pH of the mixture by mixing water with the activated active carbon again after activating the active carbon again by mixing a basic solution with the pH neutralized mixture; and a step of impregnating the active carbon with the sterilizing and deodorizing elements by drying the mixture after mixing the active carbon prepared in the pretreatment step with the sterilizing and deodorizing element dissolved solution.
