<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle component reducing weight and improving strength and reliability, and a manufacturing method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The bicycle component 1 comprises a long and narrow body 2 structured by structure fiber incorporated in a base material of a polymeric material, and seat portions 5, 6 for mechanically coupling with a bicycle element at end portions 3, 4. In ranges 9, 10 between the seat portions 5, 6 and end portions 11, 12 of the main body, continuous layers 13, 14 of the structure fiber ensuring mechanical continuity of the ranges 9, 10 are provided. At a center portion of the component, at least one first layer formed by continuous structure fiber incorporated in the base material of the polymeric material, and at least one second layer formed by small pieces of the structure fiber incorporated in the base material of the polymeric material and wherein the small pieces are irregularly disposed, are provided.
