<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having no trouble in terms of a manufacture stage and preventing light from being leaked because of distortion due to heat or the like, and a liquid crystal display device equipped with the polarizing plate and having high display quality. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate is constituted by successively laminating an adhesive layer whose storage elastic modulus is 1.5×10<SP>4</SP>to 1.5×10<SP>5</SP>Pa and whose yield strength is 0.9×10<SP>4</SP>to 0.9×10<SP>5</SP>Pa, an optical compensation sheet, a polarizing film and a transparent protective layer.
